p.1 Fire On A Sloop - About midnight fire was discovered among the hay in the hold of the sloop F... Smith, lying at Rudd's quarry, Pittsburg. After strenuous exertions the fire was suppressed, but not before considerable hay was destroyed or damaged. The hay was insured. The sloop was also damaged. She was loaded for Ogdensburg.

Speaking Of Late Navigation - Capt. ; 5th Jan. 1856, tug Traveller towed Inkerman from Ogdensburg to Morton's dock, Capt. Donnelly was in diving bell.
