p.3 A Vessel Ashore - It was reported today that a vessel had gone ashore at Amherst Island. Further information respecting her could not be gleaned. Capt. Allen, with the steamer Chieftain, has gone to her assistance.

Whats The News? - E.W. Rathbun declares that protection has destroyed shipbuilding and the shipping interests. Kingston harbor affords proof of this fact. (coming election - ed.)

The only arrival today was the schr. Samana, from Chicago, with 19,277 bush. of corn.
