p.1 The New Captains - The Captains of the steamers running on the upper lakes are: Commodore Anderson, late of the Campana, will sail the Athabasca; Captain Moore, late of the Quebec, will sail the Algoma; and Capt. Foot, late of the Emerald, will command the Alberta; Capt. McNabb, late of the City of Owen Sound, will sail the Campana; and Neil Campbell, late mate of the Owen Sound, will command her next season. Captain Symes has the Quebec and Capt. Zealand the Ontario.

p.3 The Spring Shovels - foreman for new staff of shovellers, in the employment of the M.T. Co., returned from Buffalo with 5 dozen new shovels.

Rowing Club - to be formed this season.
