p.3 Steamboat Officers Appointed - The mates for the Mail steamers have been appointed. They are: str. Algerian, W. McGannon, Prescott; str. Corinthian, J. McGrath, Lachine; str. Passport, J. Carraway, Boucherville, P.Q.; Corsican, G. Batten, Kingston. The masters are the same gentlemen who officiated last year.

Improving The Ferry Boats - The ferry steamers have, during the winter, received extensive repairs. The Pierrepont has been improved by the extension of her shade deck, new boiler, and stairs built. The interior and exterior is being painted. The Maud is also being repainted and provided with a smoking room.
