p.8 Incidents Of The Day - The schr. W.R. Taylor, Capt. Dix, is a paying vessel. She cleared $1,900 last season after expenses.

Court of Revision - The statutory allowance was made to vessel owners. Many of the owners declared that their ships did a profitless business.

Plenty of Boats - From present rumors boating on the Rideau canal is likely to be brisk next season. The popular passenger and freight steamer Gipsy will be put on her old route and ply twice a week between Kingston and Ottawa. The steamers Olive and Ida will, of course run, as well as the Rideau Belle and Ella Ross , the latter the new passenger boat Capt. Garrett intends building this winter.
