p.5 Incidents Of The Day - It is rumored that Dr. Bain, Clayton, has sold one-half interest in the str. Jessie Bain for $1,000.
The M.T. Co. held its annual meeting on Thursday and re-elected the old board of directors.
Capt. Mullen, master of the prop. Iron Chief, of Detroit, was in the city yesterday, and left for Cape Vincent, where he will visit friends.
p.8 Looking For More Stock - The M.T. Co. intend purchasing another propeller. Members of the company from Montreal are expected to arrive in the city on Monday to inspect the barges Jennie and Kingston lying here, for the purpose of ascertaining if they are fit for service on Lake Superior. If the boats are proven seaworthy, they will be rigged out with sails, and probably be towed by the propeller which it is intended to purchase.
