p.8 Taken A Big Contract - Mr. G.A. Davis, of this city, has secured the contract of carrying from Point Ann, Belleville, to the Murray Canal, 6,000 yards of cut stone, to be used in the construction of two bridges. The hull of the str. City of Kingston, which Mr. Davis purchased, will be converted into a towbarge for the trade. Men were engaged in pumping water from the steamer today.
