p.8 Incidents Of The Day - The str. Hero will have about $3,000 expended upon her before the opening of the season. Mr. Stewart, Deseronto, formerly engineer of the str. Resolute, has been engaged for the Hero.

Raising The Prop. Myles - Capt. Merriman, of Port Huron, is superintending the raising of the prop. Myles. The chains have been placed under the vessel, and an attempt will be made to raise her today. The general opinion is that the work as now proceeding will be a success.
