p.1 Council Meeting - The dry dock committee of the city council met last evening and considered the subject. It was decided that Alds. Gaskin and Muckleston, and W. Leslie, of the board of trade, should constitute a sub-committee to draw up a petition to be submitted to parliament calling attention to the great need of a dry-dock here. Signatures will be secured from vessel owners, grain dealers, and all persons interested in lake traffic at points between St. Catharines and Montreal.

p.8 Incidents Of The Day - The old yacht Laura has been purchased by Messrs. Clark, of Syracuse, and promises to be the leader of the fleet on Onondaga Lake
