The schr. India (sic - Julia ?) is loading for Oswego.

The schr. A. Falconer is at Picton awaiting orders

The prop. Niagara will winter here. She will receive a new crank and general repairs.

Every steamer that lays up here is worth to the city, $750, and each schooner $350.

Arrivals: steamer Thompson and three barges, light, from Montreal; str. Walker, and a barge laden with grain, Duluth; prop. Ocean, from the west, with grain for Montreal.

Business was brisk at the premises of the M.T. company today. Three elevators were at work discharging grain from steamers into barges. The grain will be taken to Montreal.
