p.4 Wolfe Island Notes - Deryo's (Daryaw ?) sloop drifted in the gale from Simcoe Island to the shore near the mouth of the Wolfe Island canal. A party were working on Monday to release her.

The ferry question is not yet settled. The only offer is from the old reliables, the Folger company. They ask for the cancelling of trips on Monday, Wednesday and Friday mornings, and while many islanders are willing to concede this, others favour seeking fresh tenders.

p.8 Incidents Of The Day - The schr. B.W. Folger, lying at South Bay, will be extensively repaired next spring.

The Rathbun company have a large force of men raising the steamer Ella Ross.
