p.4 Kingston Graving Dock - The tenders for the Kingston dry dock are now being examined by the officers of the public works department, Ottawa, but the name of the lowest tenderer has not yet been disclosed. The work will cost about $500,000.

p.8 Incidents Of The Day - The schr. Grantham sailed from Amherstburg today for Toledo, where she will load timber for Garden Island.

A joint stock company has been formed by some Toronto, Hamilton and Montreal capitalists, and the props. Cuba, Alma Munro and Acadia have been acquired by them to ply between Montreal, this port and Chicago. The chief agency is situated at Montreal.
