The Annandale was the first vessel to load coal at Oswego.

J.B. McMurrich, Oswego, has been elected commodore of the yacht club there.

Cobourg will hold a regatta this year under the rules of the lake yacht racing association. All the best yachts on the lake will attend.

The steam barge Khartoum reached Portsmouth this morning with 700 bushels of barley from Simcoe Island. She was the first arrival there.

The insurance rates on grain have been fixed at Chicago to Lake Superior, Erie, and Georgian Bay by marine underwriters at 50 cents; Lake Ontario, 75 cents, Ogdensburg 80 cents, Montreal $1. Lakes Michigan and Huron, Sarnia and Detroit 40 cents.
