p.1 A Great Year For Ice - The schooners S.H. Dunn & Ella Murton are loading ice on speculation. Breck & Booth have been commissioned to deliver 1,800 tons of ice at Toledo. They have chartered the schooners Norway, Bavaria and Prussia, of Garden Island, to carry the ice.

p.4 Noted Canoe Builder Dead - Daniel Herald, designer of Rice Lake canoes, was working for Alex Cuthbert on yacht at Cobourg.
