The str. Jessie Bain will be overhauled during the winter and her sides built even with the hull.

The tug Thompson and barge Maggie reached here from Fairhaven with coal Saturday night. When the barge has unloaded her cargo for Crawford she will go into winter quarters and will be the last of the Montreal Transportation Company's boats to do so. The entire fleet is now laid up.

The schr. W.H. Rounds carries the great big banner among the canal schooners of the lakes for the season of 1890. The Rounds left Toledo on April 13th with a cargo of wheat for Oswego; brought a cargo back to Toledo, took 10 cargoes of coal to Lake Michigan ports and returned with 10 cargoes of ore.
