p.2 Buffalo, Nov. 12th - Last evening about eight o'clock a fire broke out in the steamer Buckeye State, and before she could be scuttled and the flame extinguished, she was damaged to the amount of $15,000 to $20,000. She was a new and splendid boat, and was worth $100,000; owned by Mr. Cobb, and commanded by Capt. Phillip Simpson. At the time of the fire she was loading and taking in passengers at her dock, for Cleveland. We learn that some $15,000 in goods were lost in the Buckeye.
