p.2 Welland Canal - Reduction of Tolls - The Oswego Palladium says:- "We learn that the President of the Board of Works, Canada, the Hon. John Young, and H.H. Killaly, Esq., from Montreal, on their way to an official visit of the Welland Canal, touched at our city on Wednesday, and announced to some of our merchants that the Board of Works had considered the subject of the Welland Canal tolls, and had decided to revise and reduce the tariff, and that the revision would be published at an early day."
