p.2 More Bay Boats - The Belleville Daily Argus has the following:-

We understand that some American gentlemen have arrived in town, and that their business here is to obtain Stock in two boats to ply between this port, Oswego and Cape Vincent, and for this purpose a meeting will be held at M. Northrup's Hotel today. Belleville is certainly going ahead. Let all turn out and show the interest they feel in the prosperity of the town, even if they cannot take any stock. Lewis Wallbridge, Esq. we are told has signified his intention of taking a large amount of stock in these Boats. Others who are able no doubt will subscribe freely.

Canal Regulations - The last official Gazette contains the new regulations for the management and protection of the provincial Canals.
