p.2 A schooner was launched at Oakville, on Saturday week, by Mr. Conkright, for Mr. Alexander Proudfoot. She is called the Arabian. Two other schooners are on the stocks at Oakville, and one at Bronte.

Buffalo, Aug. 18th - The new steamer Mississippi collapsed her boiler last night, about 25 miles out of port, killing the fireman and badly scalding two others. The accident is supposed to have been occasioned by a flaw in the iron of the flue.
