p.2 The Hamilton Gazette announces the supposed loss of the Schooner Sovereign with all hands. She left Hamilton on the 8th inst., laden with wheat, and has not since been heard of, although every inquiry has been made to get tidings respecting her. She was commanded by Captain Carradice, well known at this port as an old and experienced sailor. The Sovereign, we understand, was owned by Messrs. Land & Routh, and her cargo was insured in the St. Lawrence. We would hope that all may yet be well, but she being now 14 days out, the greatest apprehension is entertained.
