p.2 The Scotland - We stated last week that the schooner Scotland was safe, and had put into Sodus Bay, near the mouth of the Genesee River. Our information was obtained from Toronto papers, but we regret to say it is not true. The vessel is undoubtedly lost with all on board. [Prescott Telegraph]

The Telegraph is in error with respect to the schooner Scotland. Our contemporary has confounded that schooner with the unfortunate Sovereign.
