p.2 The Contract for the improvement of the Port Hope harbor has been signed with Mr. Weir, who according to the Port Hope Watchman, is one of the most respectable and efficient of the many practical, enterprising gentlemen, who happily now abound among us Canadians, and who possess the skill, the energy, the friends, and the means to undertake costly and expensive public improvements.
