p.2 The schooner Merchant, when out on the Lake opposite Toronto, lost one of its crew by cholera, in a few hours. A little afterwards the Captain became ill, but was put on shore to get medical aid for himself, and to send it to his crew. His recovery is probable.

Royal Canadian Yacht Club - We learn that Her Majesty Queen Victoria, has honored the Toronto Yacht Club, by allowing it to be called hereafter, The Royal Canadian Yacht Club. We rejoice to hear of the honor conferred upon this splendid Club. A better or more loyal set of fellows than the members of it are not to be found in Her Majesty's Dominions. Success attend them.
