p.2 A Horse Overboard - fell off gangway while landing from steamer Arabian at Gorrie's wharf; it swam almost 100 feet under wharf and surfaced near schooner on other side. [Toronto Globe]

Schooner Wanted For Charter - The undersigned have been authorized by a Firm in Quebec to charter several Schooners till the close of the season. Parties desirous of chartering will please apply immediately to Thos. Maxwell & Co., Tug Line Proprietors. Sept. 21st.
