p.2 Capt. B. Stannard, says the Cleveland Herald, reports the Sebastopol to be a total loss. She lies upon a rock, her hull split and shattered, and nearly every article of furniture and of equipment either broken or badly damaged. Her engine, boiler, chains, and anchors are the only portion that can be recovered in condition to be of further use or value.

p.3 A Touching Incident - during rescue, female passengers and baby from Sebastopol were helped up bluff. [Milwaukee American]
