p.3 Notice To Owners of Steam Vessels

Port of Kingston, 5th Feb., 1858

In terms of instructions to that effect given to me by Government, I hereby notify the Masters or Owners of all Steam Vessels now in winter quarters at this port, that unless the receipts and certificates referred to in the 14th section of the 20th Victoria, cap. 34, shall have been exhibited to me before the opening of the navigation, the penalties so referred to in the said section of the above named Act will be strictly enforced by detention and seizure of the vessels.
