p.1 brig Ophelia of Whitby, timber-laden from Quebec, abandoned in North Sea; also Hampton of Shields from Quebec to Tyne is abandoned.

p.2 revenue cutter Howard Cobb to be taken from Oswego through St. Lawrence to seaboard.

-The steamer Maple Leaf, running across the lake from this port, will, in November, probably go into the lake and river trade to carry freight, making only one trip per week to this port. [Rochester Union 24th]
