p.1 Picton - The steamer Picton has returned from Toronto, and has gone into winter quarters.

Marine News

A telegram from Rochester says: "The schooner Star, of Millpoint, Ont., went ashore last night. Cargo, 12,000 bushels of wheat. Vessel and cargo wrecked. Crew taken from the rigging by a life-saving crew."

Port Colborne, Oct. 23rd - Up - schrs. Falmouth, Charlotte, Milwaukee, coal; Mary Battle, Kingston, Black River, light. Prop. L. Shickluna, Montreal, Chatham, gen. cargo; Zealand, Hamilton, Marquette, light; Alma Munro, Montreal, Pt. Stanley, gen. cargo.

Down - schr. W.Y. Emery, Cleveland, Welland, coal.
