p.2 Capt. Hunter of sch. Mary Ann, drowns near Belleville.

Port Hope Guide says: sch. Dolphin, Capt. Janes, knocked lantern of lighthouse into lake.

Parties have been at work for several days, preparing to raise the barque City of Ogdensburg, which is sunk in front of the town. Two large vessels, the Quebec and the William Penn, are used for the purpose and it is expected that before many days her deck will be above water. [Prescott Telegraph 21st]
