p.2 Capt. R. Gaskin has been appointed agent for the North-Western Insurance Company of Oswego; and from the reliable character of the Company, and the Captain's acquaintance with all details connected with vessels and lake navigation, we feel satisfied that the Company in his hands will be thought worthy of an extensive patronage.

p.3 ad - Fire & Marine Insurance - Northwestern Insurance Company of Oswego, N.Y. - The Subscriber having been appointed Sole Agent for the above Company, in the room of the late Mr. Joseph Doyle, is prepared to take fire and marine risks at as low a rate as can be obtained from any reliable Office. From his practical knowledge of all details in connection with Marine Insurance, he feels confident that he will be able to meet the views of business men recquiring insurance in a responsible Company. All applications for losses, partial or total, will meet with prompt attention. Parties will do well to give him a first call at Mr. C.W. Jenkin's Office, in the Kingston Marine Railway Buildings.
