p.2 The barque St. George, owned by Capt. Gaskin, of this city, has been sold for $9000 to a firm in Toronto, who intend to despatch her with coal oil to England. We hear it is Capt. Gaskin's intention to have the keel of another vessel laid this fall, to take the St. George's place on the lakes next spring.

Accident at Berry's Elevator - while shovelling grain out of one of Holcomb & Cowan's barges, man caught arm in leg of elevator. [Whig]
