p.2 The schooner Acontias was got off the Tower shoal on Wednesday morning by one of Messrs. Calvin & Breck's powerful steamtugs.

-The steamboat travel on the river and lake is very brisk and profitable at present. The Through Line of steamers are doing a handsome business in passengers. The Oswego boats are earning good freights upon the immense quantity of fruit which is being flooded into Canada; and the international ferry steamer Pierrepont seems to be doing as well as the rest, as she may be seen each trip crowded with merchandize and passengers.
