p.2 An Opening for Steamboat Proprietors - The Cobourg Sentinel points out that since the sale of the Maple Leaf to the American government, a steamboat is required to ply between Cobourg and Rochester, touching at Port Hope, Bowmanville, Whitby and Colborne. An inexpensive lake boat might make money on this route, and a consideration of the prospect is worth attention by steamboat owners.
