p.2 The Bowmanville - The case of the Bowmanville, an alleged blockade runner, which was seized in New York a few days ago by the Surveyor of the Port, is still in the hands of the detectives. In the meantime, the vessel has been put in the dry dock, and is undergoing repairs. Her cargo is small and of an insignificant character.

Rescued From Drowning - Mr. Trowel, mate of the mail line steamer Banshee, fell overboard on Tuesday forenoon into the canal at Montreal, but was happily rescued by some of the hands on board.
