p.2 three men from Garden Island missing while returning from tavern in skiff.

Steamers Laying Up - The steamer Kingston passed down yesterday with a very heavy freight for Montreal, where she will go into winter quarters on arrival. The Champion will make her last down trip today, and on her return will lay up here for the season. The other boats of the line will soon follow suit, and another week will probably see the end of navigation, so far as the mail steamers are concerned.

p.3 Imports - 15.
