p.2 Returned For Repairs - The Canadian steamer Bowmanville, Capt. Anderson, which left New York for Havana on the 1st instant, returned for repairs, having, on the evening of the day she left New York, when seventeen miles south of Barnegat, sprung a leak, and had her pumps choked and her machinery damaged. When the accident took place the wind was blowing a gale from the southwest.
