p.2 Pierrepont Frozen Up - While on her way to Kingston on Friday the steamer Pierrepont became ice-bound about two miles from the foot of Long Island, where she now lies firmly frozen in for the winter. On her condition becoming known to the owners they despatched a quarter of beef and some other necessaries for those on board, and the officers and hands are still on the boat and will probably remain on board while the provisions hold out.

The Ice Bridge - has formed again to the Island.
