p.2 Shipping Trade of the Past Year - During the season of navigation lately closed, 392 British vessels have been engaged in the coasting trade from this port, the number of trips made by them being 2,501. 182 British vessels have traded to the United States, and made 968 trips. The number of American vessels engaged in the trade between Kingston and United States ports during the year was 138, and the number of voyages made by them, 504. The total number of reports made and clearances granted for the same period was 3,973.
