p.2 The propeller Merritt, belonging to Messrs. Chaffey & Brothers, was successfullylaunched on Thursday at Brockville. The Merritt is one of the largest propellers afloat, being intended for ocean as well as lake service.

p.3 Imports - 19th - Str Brantford, Montreal, A & S Chown, 4 csks h ware, 4 bdls wire; S Muckleston & Co., 2 csks h ware.

Schr Hannah Perry, Milwaukie, G Chaffey & Bros, 2288 bbls pork, 150 bbls lard, 1529 hams, 5002 shoulders.

Str Ontario, Rochester, Fraser & George, 1 bx h ware; Mrs Taylor, 1 bx bedding; Jennings & Hands, 10 cases tobacco; G Worthy 22 bbls apples, 8 bxs oranges, 1 bx dried fruit, 1 bx cocoa nuts.

20th - Str Banshee, Montreal, NcNee & Waddell, 5 cses and 1 ble British goods.

Schr Queen of the Lakes, Milwaukie, Glassford & Jones, 15,280 bus wheat.

Str Pierrepont, (mixed cargo)

Str Bay of Quinte, Belleville, 74 head of cattle, 4 bxs fish, 110 sacks potatoes, 1 crock butter, 1 bl apples, 2 crates eware, 2 kegs eggs, 9 bbls potatoes.
