p.2 The New Iron Steamer - The plates for the new Bay of Quinte steamer have arrived, and will be immediately transhipped. The ways are being laid down at the foot of Gore street, and preparations made for pushing on the work. The keel will be laid on Saturday. The steamer is to be completed and placed on the Bay sometime during the month of September, the engines and boilers being furnished by Mr. Tutton of the Ontario Foundry. From her general build, extreme lightness, and the amount of steam which her boilers can generate, the speed intended to be realized is twenty miles an hour. (Corinthian - ed.)
