p.2 The propeller Rescue, from Chicago, en route for Buffalo, burst her boiler last night, off Rondeau Rondeau Point, Lake Erie. Twelve of the crew were lost. The cabin and upper works of the vessel were burned. The cargo, consisting of flour, pork and high wines, was also destroyed. The steamer Avon, of Kingston, picked up the survivors of the crew, and towed the hull to the beach, near Dealtown. The names of the crew that perished are not ascertained.
