p.2 Propeller West - During the last few trips made by the propeller West it was found that more or less water found its way into the hold, to the partial damage of her cargo. On hauling her out at the Marine Railway it was discovered that the iron box in which the shaft revolves, and which passes through the woodwork, was loose, which partially accounted for the leakage. The West has been repaired, and is now being got off the Railway, ready to resume her regular trips.

Tug Frances, Bedford Mills, and six barges, containing 455,961 feet of lumbe, 18,000 laths, 30 cords of wood, and 100 tons of iron ore.
