p.2 Schooner Disabled - The Schooner James Coleman, which left here on the first instant on her way to Toronto laden with cordwood, went ashore at Popple (sic -Poplar?) Point, about 3 miles from South Bay Point, a very exposed part of the lake. It is feared that the storm of last night may have done her considerable damage. The captain is in the city, and the crew are all safe. The Schooner Christiana lies sunk in the water at Garden Island, laden with staves and lumber. No damage has been done her, and she is in a position where she can be pumped out and the leak stopped.
