p.2 The schooner Jenny Lind, of Montreal, 137 tons burden, loaded with apples from Sodus to Kingston, was beached on Real Ducks, fifteen miles out from Long Point, about 12 o'clock on Saturday. She sprung a leak coming out of Sodus harbor on Friday night, and by great exertions on the part of the crew was kept afloat till the pumps gave out, when she was beached. The cargo is worth $3,500, and there was no insurance upon it. The vessel will probably be a total wreck. It was insured for $1,600 in the Provincial Insurance Company of Canada.

-On Friday evening last, between eight and nine o'clock, the Canadian schooner Sardinian when entering the harbor struck the East pier, Oswego, where she pounded heavily for some time. A tug finally fastened to her and towed her to the elevator of Messrs. Irwin & Sloan. She had a cargo of 9,200 bushels of peas consigned to the above firm, which had been shipped at Toronto. It was ascertained she was leaking badly, but owing to the engagement of the elevators her cargo could not be discharged immediately, and she accordingly dropped down the stream into the cut, where she sunk. Of course, the cargo was damaging to the vessel, and this morning her deck was badly sprung. The Sardinian, we believe, was owned at South Bay.

-The steamer Magnet passed down to Montreal last night, where a large general cargo for Kingston awaited her. Her return trip will probably be her last.
