p.2 The Pierrepont - The steamer Pierrepont left Darlington this morning. A telegram has been received from her, dated at Port Hope, to the effect that she is on her way down, and will probably arrive here tonight. They have no doubt of her ability to force her way through the ice, and should she do so, it is the intention to send her on a trip to Cape Vincent tomorrow. The Propeller George Moffatt has been given over for the present, and will be left to the mercy of the elements until spring.
