p.2 County Court and Quarter Sessions - Calvin et al vs Stricklund et al - Action to recover the value of two chains, belonging to Calvin & Breck, the plaintiffs. In May last, the plaintiff's steamer, Highlander, was engaged by Strickland and Rogers to tow a raft from Presqu' Isle to Prescott, on which occassion six chains were furnished from the steamer and attached to the raft, as is usually done, only four of which were returned to the steamer. This action was brought to recover the value of the two missing chains - $127. Verdict for defendants.
