p.2 The Georgian - An applicant was made last week to His Honor Judge Gowan for the release of the steamer Georgian, still held under seizure at Collingwood. The matter was argued for Mr. Denison, who claims to be the owner of the vessel, by Mr. McMichael; and Mr. Patterson, of the firm of Patterson and Harrison, appeared for the Crown. The hearing occupied about four hours, and the application was finally refused. The owner, we believe, will not release the vessel by giving the required bonds, and she has consequently been lying idle since the seizure. [Barrie Advance]
