p.2 The steamer Ranger had got off from Timber Island, where she grounded, and had put into South Bay safely, and without damage, before the arrival of the tug from here.

Disaster on Georgian Bay - We learn by telegraph from Collingwood that a fearful storm raged yesterday on Georgian Bay, and that the schooner Garibaldi, laden with grain, was lost between Meaford and Collingwood. The crew - a captain and three seamen - also perished, we regret to say, with the vessel.
