p.2 Laying Up - The propeller Avon, which arrived here yesterday morning, has laid up for the season; and nearly all the schooners in port are being dismantled and prepared for their winter's rest, the present change to a more frosty aspect having a tendency to hasten the consummation no doubt devoutly to be wished by many a hard worked mariner.
