p.2 City Council - Reports - ..That the committee (on Streets and Improvements) had inspected the barges near the Tete du Pont barracks, and do not find them a nuisance, as reported by a city newspaper, but quite the contrary. The committee further state that in consequence of a notice which emanated from the Council, to the owners of these barges to have them removed, which was not done, the city had a special claim to them, and no one had a right to interfere with them.
